21 December 2017 M5: In November, the Alfvén proposal core team responded to written questions from the Scientific Review Assessment Panel.
That was followed by our participation in a follow-up "in-person" interview. The outcome is now expected to be known in spring 2018, no earlier than
the selection of the M4 mission, now due to be decided at the February 2018 ESA SPC meeting.
18 October 2017 M5: The proposal has passed the Technical and Programmatic review stages and is one of 12 remaining proposals.
In the next few weeks, we will be responding to the Scientific Review Assessment Panel.
The outcome is expected to be known in early 2018.

20 July 2015 M5: ESA have announced (here) plans for a new Medium Class mission competition, M5
Proposals are due in April 2016 (tentative date)
This would provide a new opportunity to propose a mission with objectives similar to Alfvén+
04 June 2015 M4: ESA have announced (here) three missions to go forward for further study, culminating in selection of just one.
Unfortunately, Alfvén+ was not among this final group of three.

03 March 2015 M4: Alfvén+ has passed ESA's initial technical review.
This review has reduced 27 proposals to 10 proposals still in competition.
A scientific review is now in progress.
